MATTHEW B. ALLISTON

Attorney & Counselor at Law

I am a lifelong resident of the State of Mississippi and have lived the majority of my life in Rankin County. I have also called DeSoto, Hinds and Lafayette counties home. After completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Mississippi in 2001, I took a few years to work before deciding to give law school a try at Mississippi College where I received my Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2007 and was subsequently admitted to the Board of Bar Admissions the same year.

After six years of practicing law from Hinds County, I moved closer to home and set up shop as a solo practicing attorney on the Brandon/Pearl line. This has been my office home ever since and will likely be for years to come. Over the years, my practice areas have narrowed and I have found that estate work is my calling. The somewhat routine testate and intestate estates are necessary and rewarding and can turn into contested matters with emotions similar to family law cases. I enjoy helping others navigate the world of probate and providing a service that is tangible.

I look forward to each day and am hopeful that I can help someone work to resolve an issue or at least help move things in the right direction. Persistence pays off in this business. I regularly recall some advice from school that goes, β€œthe most important case is the one you are currently working on.”
